Not quite so many clubs when compared with a few of years ago. Nevertheless there are many outstanding musicians
and groups. Formal jazz education is an important part of many of Belgium's music academies. There are major jazz
festivals during the course of the year, and regular visits from leading international soloists and groups. A number of independent jazz
recoding labels produce a regular output featuring the best of jazz in Belgium. Much to interest the jazz seeker, both on the live music scene, and also on the various record labels. An added bonus is more than six hundred belgium beers to choose from, plus some of the best food in Europe.
