Founded by musicians of the New Orleans Jazz Ascona - festival and its director It features teachers of international renown, who enjoy sharing their experience with students and know how to create a motivating,
inspiring and cordial atmosphere. An additional asset to the workshop is the attractive little town of Ascona situated at the Lago Maggiore and
surrounded by scenic mountains. The International Classic Jazz Workshop,
which deals with New Orleans Jazz, Swing, Blues, Mainstream and related styles, addresses musicians as well as complete bands of all levels wanting to improve or refine their competence and performance in the fields of improvisation, stylistic feeling, playing in groups and instrumental technique.
