WELLINGTON
Wellington Jazz Club. Tel: 04 566 2458 [Contact: Chris Caudwell. The Wellington Jazz Club meets monthly, usually (but not always) on the third Sunday of the month at the Loaded Hog Ballroom upstairs above the Loaded Hog Bar near Queens Wharf Gates on the Wellington Waterfront.
Meetings are open to the public and begin at 5pm.
The meetings feature exciting jazz with bar and meal service available. There is a variety of seating, most of which is at tables. There is a lift for easy access. Come early. Attendance is increasing rapidly.
The Loaded Hog is situated in the Queens wharf area on the Wellington Waterfront, to the north of the Shed 5 restaurant. It is surrounded by a pay and display carpark so parking is easy.
If you wish to avoid the $6.00 weekend parking charge there should be free parking in the nearby streets on a Sunday evening.
The ballroom is a marvellous old style venue magnificently equipped with bar. Full meals and snacks will be available. It is on the first floor with access from the city side of the building. There is a lift available. Admission for non-members is $15.00 & Students $7.50]
