In 1980 after a seven year tour through the New Yorker Jazz scene and as the opening band for such acts as Janis Joplin, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, NRBQ, he returned to Juilliard and closed out with a Masters Degree, majoring in Composition.

Jazz Walks. A series of jazz-focused guided walwalking tours through selected New York neighborhoods. Operating under theSwingStreets banner, jazz journalist Paul Blair began leading groups on excursions through three different sections of Harlem in mid-2002. Each route covers a multitude of sites associated with both the area's rich jazz history and its current music scene.
