Plymouth Jazz Club, formed in 1984, has now promoted well over 500 live gigs, and meets in the Matchroom Suite, Plympton. The Matchroom Suite has a well stocked bar and provides a selection of bar meals. It also has a large free car park. Currently the Club promotes jazz normally on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 8.00pm to 11.00pm. On the 1st Sunday the jazz may be of almost any style and the 3rd Sunday it is always Traditional or New Orleans style. With a membership of around 400 PJC aims to promote quality jazz in a friendly and relaxed atmoshere.
