The first edition of Valamar Jazz Festival will be held on the beautiful island of Sveti Nikola (St. Nicholas) just opposite Porec, where it will host, in an almost intimate atmosphere under the stars, viewing the sea and the City, the prominent names of the world jazz.
Taking place on a beautiful location by the sea, the festival guarantees an extraordinary experience which will combine the pleasure of music with the pleasure of being in the open... a perfect combination of stimuli for all the senses, ideal for the ever bigger community of culture-tourists and jazz lovers.
The festival's artistic director, composer and singer Tamara Obrovac (www.tamaraobrovac.com) is one of the most impressive artists on the Croatian music scene. In this project she combines her professional experience on the international scene with her desire to give Istria a top jazz festival and thus make it an unavoidable destination of jazz lovers who will discover Istria through the sea and the sun, but also through the musical and dialectal tradition which is the creative power of Tamara's artistic expression.
