Agustín was born in 1978 in Buenos Aires. He started studying drums and percussion with Facundo Ferreira, Quintino Cinalli and Eduardo Casalla. In 2000 he graduated from Palermo University with a degree in marketing. In 2003 from ITMC (Contemporary Music Institute) he reached a college degree in professional drummer. In 2008 he ended the Superior Course in Harmony and Music Composition given by Juan Carlos Cirigliano for three years at Argentine Society of Authors and Music Composers (SADAIC). In order to enrich his musical career he made several study-trips: NY – USA (2003), Curitiba – Brasil (2004), La Habana – Cuba (2005) and Montevideo-Uruguay (2008).

Studied sculpture at the Brighton College of Art and Design. Graduated in Light Music (nowadays called jazz)  at CAT - now Newcastle University. Graduate of The Brussels Conservatory. After the Conservatory, Joe started playing with many different groups. Studied Arabic music on the ney with Hamid Al Basri - one of the oldest and most respected teachers of Arabic music in Europe. He also became involved in the Jewish klezmer rock group 'Yiddish Tantz Rivayvele'. Joe Higham also teaches at the 'Jazz Studio' which is one of the oldest private jazz schools in Europe.
